The 2008 Honors and Commencement Ceremony will be held in the Niiwin-Akeaa Center on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 1:00 p.m.

Ojibwa Community College 2007 Graduation

Four graduates each earned a Liberal Studies Associate Degree, and all four of them graduated with honors. (Left to right) Katie Engle, co-valedictorian: Suzanne Jondreau, co-valedictorian; Francis LaPointe III, and Gloria Shalifoe. The Commencement Address was given by KBIC Tribal member, Shirley Brozzo, who holds a Master of Fine Arts in fiction writing from Norther Michigan University and is currently and adjuct facility member and Assistant Director of Diversity Students Services at Northern Michigan University. Four Thunder Singers provided the processional and honor song. Alicia Jacker beautifully played an honor song on the flute. A feast followed the ceremony.
